White and burgundy hues, romantic floral arrangements and the timeless beauty of Athens came together to create the perfect setting for Semina and Michalis’ winter wedding, a day filled with love and unforgettable moments they will treasure forever. The couple chose to celebrate the most special day of their lives in the heart of the city where their love story began, with the bride sharing, «Athens is our city. It’s where we met, fell in love and where we always return. That’s why getting married in the heart of Plaka and celebrating our reception in an iconic neoclassical building like Amalias 36 was the perfect expression of who we are…» The bride carried a romantic bouquet of calla lilies, anemones, peonies and cascading amaranthus in soft white, green and burgundy tones, adding an elegant and dreamy touch to her bridal look. Delicate almond blossoms and dried florals beautifully complemented the decoration, creating an atmosphere that felt both timeless and inviting. Their invitation suite by Prototypon featured earthy olive and ecru tones, textured ivory paper and refined gold accents, giving guests a beautiful first glimpse of the celebration’s sophisticated aesthetic. Throughout the wedding planning process, the bride found inspiration and valuable guidance through Love4Weddings, where they also discovered their photographer, Andreas of Le Fil Photography, whose loely images captured every heartfelt moment of their unforgettable day!

«We met five years ago through our professional lives and before long, our lawyer-client relationship turned into a lifelong love story. Two years later, he proposed at home, just before we headed out for a Christmas outing. It happened so naturally, not with a question, but with a ring and the words, “Together through the good times and the bad.”»

«Athens is our city. It’s where we met, fell in love and where we always return. That’s why getting married in the heart of Plaka and celebrating our reception in an iconic neoclassical building like Amalias 36 was the perfect expression of who we are. So, to sum it up, once you have a clear vision of what you want and especially what you don’t want, you really can organize everything yourself, even in a very short amount of time.»

«We wanted the decoration to be minimal, so we chose seasonal flowers and greenery. Both the church and the reception venue have such a strong character on their own, so we wanted to enhance their beauty with subtle, thoughtful touches. At the church, we decorated only the wooden bases of the two candle stands with a pair of tall candles. For the reception, we chose a large sculptural arrangement for the entrance fireplace, featuring branches, greenery, foliage and flowers. On each table, we wanted low, organic floral arrangements inspired by the colors of winter, so we chose shades of burgundy, purple, warm orange, soft pink, along with dried yellow and orange leaves. My favorite detail was my asymmetrical bridal bouquet, filled with white calla lilies, white anemones, burgundy peonies, cascading elements and natural greenery.»

«Just like the decoration, I wanted my wedding dress to be simple. After looking through countless photos without ever being able to picture myself wearing any of those gowns, I have to admit I was ready to buy a simple white dress from any store. Then I came across a photoshoot by Eni Angelique and I instantly knew, “This is the one.” It was the first dress I tried on at the atelier and the last. They encouraged me to try two or three more, but I had already made up my mind. The bodice is adorned with crystals arranged in an irregular pattern, while the dramatic skirt reminds me of a sheet of paper loosely wrapped around a bouquet of flowers.»

«I visited the greek wedding site of Love4Weddings throughout the entire wedding planning process. Since we chose to organize the wedding ourselves without the help of a wedding planner, it became both a wonderful source of inspiration and a practical guide. It helped me make sure we didn’t overlook anything important, while also introducing us to incredible wedding professionals. We were lucky enough to discover our photographer, Andreas from Le Fil Photography, through Love4Weddings. Besides being an exceptional professional, he’s also one of the sweetest people we’ve ever met!»

It’s difficult to choose just one favorite moment because we truly felt so fortunate with everything, from the spring-like weather in the middle of winter to a reception where everything came together so naturally and flawlessly. I think the most meaningful moment was the atmosphere during the ceremony. There wasn’t even a whisper. It was a truly magical experience for everyone who was there.

«My advice to any couple would be to plan the wedding that truly reflects who they are and the way they’ve always dreamed it would be, without compromising because of other people’s expectations or opinions and without unnecessary stress. It really is a celebration and planning it should bring you joy, not anxiety. From the moment we got engaged until our wedding day, we hadn’t even decided whether we wanted a civil ceremony, a religious wedding, or simply a civil partnership. We let plenty of time pass until all of our favorite ideas came together and then everything was planned in just two months. »
