We are loving the romantic details from Ula and Charlie’s destination wedding in Chania, Crete, a celebration surrounded by nature and beautiful views of the sea. Greece already held a special place in their story, as Charlie proposed two years after they first met during a holiday in Rhodes. It was Ula’s first time in Greece and she was captivated by its beauty, while for Charlie the country brought back cherished memories of family holidays. For their spectacular wedding day, their wedding enue Sea View by En Kipo offered a wonderful setting with sweeping sea views, privacy and a sunset backdrop, while allowing the couple to personalize the celebration just as they had imagined. En Kipo Flower Creations filled the ceremony with romantic baby blue and white florals, creating organic grounded arrangements and floral meadow installations that naturally framed the aisle. Hydrangeas, daisies, delphinium, roses and lisianthus came together in lush clusters, beautifully complementing the greenery and the blue of the sea. The same palette continued at the reception, where white tables, delicate floral centerpieces and crystal chandeliers suspended above the tables added lovely details to the outdoor celebration. Ula’s bouquet brought together peonies, roses, lisianthus and eucalyptus, following the soft colors seen throughout the decoration. «Our wedding decoration featured light blue, white and green colours, very light and airy. The bridal bouquet had white peonies and blue hydrangeas, my favourite flowers, the bride shared with us.» With baby blue blooms lining the ceremony aisle, the Cretan landscape stretching towards the sea and romantic florals appearing throughout the celebration, Ula and Charlie’s destination wedding in Chania is filled with beautiful inspiration!

«We were both living in opposite sides of London and never would have met if it wasn’t for a dating app! We went on our first date just as covid lockdown was finishing up and we got our freedom back! Charlie proposed me 2 years after our first meeting while on holiday on the island of Rhodes. Whilst it was not our first holiday together, it was my first time in Greece and I was captivated by its beauty; for Charlie, Greece was a sentimental place as it reminded him of family holidays.»

«Our wedding decoration featured light blue, white and green colours, very light and airy. The bridal bouquet had white peonies and blue hydrangeas, my favourite flowers. For the wedding flower arch, our wedding planner Barbara suggested putting the arch on the ground so we could have an interrupted view of the sea and the sky, which we did and the results were beautiful! We had 3 beautiful chandeliers above the head table. It looked stunning when the sun set, alongside the fairy lights forming a canopy between the palm trees. We decided to arrange our tables in a U shape so we could maintain a head table whilst still having everyone sat at the same table! We arranged for the flowers from the wedding arch to be disassembled and carried over to the wedding table and placed in the middle, allowing us and the guests to enjoy their beauty for longer. As we were coming to sit down for dinner, our guests started waving their napkins in the air, in traditional Greek style, it was so much fun!»

«There are so many amazing moments from our wedding. We loved hearing the speeches from our beloved family and friends. The speakers were my mum Laima, my teenage sister Mary, I and Charlie and Charlie’s best man Alex. The speeches showed just how much they love and understand the couple and spoke beautifully about what makes them a good match. Another highlight was my brother Nojus, an opera singer, serenading them in Italian. This was right after the vows and many of the guests, as well as the couple, were moved to tears!»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to focus on the bigger picture and prepare for things to not go according to schedule. We did not worry that much about small details, the invitations, the napkins, the cutlery or glasses and instead focused on the bigger things, such as cake (which was iconic and weighed 22 kilograms!) and a firework show to wrap up the day. Some things happened earlier and later than planned on the day, but we just relaxed and went with it, you can never control 100% of events as there are so many things (weather, traffic, the human factor) out of your control.

«The wedding dress was from Australian brand “Grace Loves Lace”, they have a boutique in London where I and Charlie live. I knew that I wanted a very lace-y , romantic gown, in a timeless shape. Whilst initially drawn to gown with beautiful lace sleeves, I decided against them as the wedding was in June in Greece and good thing I did as the wedding day was very hot and sunny indeed! The exact dress I picked is called “River” , which is very fitting as her name is a name of a River in Lithuania. The pattern features iridescent seashells and echoes the sea view wedding venue.»
