Today we are travelling in beautiful Anafi island, where the wedding of two lovebirds took place. Fani and Stavros chose their favorite Greek island to seal their love, where Fani is from. The simplicity and the natural beauty of the island were enough for an unforgettable celebration of love enhanced with traditional elements. White handmade tablecloths, traditional dishes, sweets and seasonal flowers adorned the tables of the reception gorgeously. The dreamy wedding dress and the cute floral crown of the bride were ideal for the whole sense and style of the wedding. Prepare to get lost in the beauty of the following images!
The bride shared with us: “The whole idea and concept of this three-day wedding party was born from our favorite island, Anafi, which is my hometown. We wanted all of our favorite people, friends and family to come to the island and celebrate all together the most important day of our lives…”
“As for my wedding dress, I’ve never been a girl who had dreamed of her wedding dress, all I knew was that I wanted a simple dress so I could feel myself. I didn’t know the style. I was very lucky because at the one and only appointment I had for rehearsal at Alexia’s Kirmitsi showroom, I found the one! I explained to the designer the style, date and place of my wedding and that I wanted something different. Alexia instantly understood me and she designed my wedding dress during her holidays in Anafi.”
“We got married at the St. Nicholas Chapel at the square of the capital of Anafi island.”
“For my flower bouquet and generally for the whole event, we chose flowers that were gathered from the island. At that time, amaranth and other seasonal flowers were blooming in different colors of purple, blue and white. My floral crown was made with the same flowers and wheat.”
“Our wedding had many beautiful and intense moments! Of course, one of the best moments was when I married Stavros and the best thing was that our friends and families traveled to our favorite island to celebrate with us.”
Advice to bride-to-be: “Create the wedding that you’ve dreamed, remember that it is your moment and is worth living to the fullest.”
