Georgette and Andrew celebrate their love at the stunning Hatzi Mansion in a wedding filled with timeless elegance, beautiful white hues and chic gold details that we absolutely adore! Their love story began during their college years, when they lived on the same dorm floor, just two doors apart, quickly became best friends and somewhere along the way, their friendship blossomed into a beautiful romance. Nearly a decade later, Andrew surprised Georgette with an unforgettable marriage proposal, with a little help from her nephews, who appeared wearing T-shirts that read “Will you marry Big Andrew?” With her entire family there to witness the special moment, Georgette said the much-awaited “yes”! For their wedding day, the couple chose the magnificent Hatzi Mansion, a breathtaking venue featuring stone pathways, blooming flower gardens, vintage fountains and an olive grove with sculptural 250-year-old olive trees, while rare ancient Greek marble adds a distinctive character to the Byzantine mansion. Beautifully planned by Ventouris Events, the wedding features truly gorgeous decor, with lush arrangements of white roses, hydrangeas and greenery displayed on tall white stands, complemented by elegant candleholders and white candles. Georgette looks absolutely radiant in a stunning creation from Berta’s Privée collection, featuring a fitted silhouette, intricate lace from top to bottom, long lace sleeves and a spectacular sweeping train, while her cathedral-length veil completes her bridal look beautifully. During the ceremony, the enchanting melodies of a live harpist accompany the most touching moments, before the celebration continues outdoors overlooking the beautiful surroundings. Round tables dressed in white linens, gold chairs, lush white and green floral arrangements and chandeliers suspended above the tables create a timeless setting that is simply unforgettable! Georgette’s advice to future brides perfectly captures the essence of this wonderful day: “Don’t get so caught up in the details that you forget to enjoy it. The day goes by in a flash, so soak in every moment and have fun.” Every beautiful moment of this destination wedding in Athens is filled with love, inviting us to experience a truly memorable celebration through each stunning photograph!

«Andrew and I met on our very first day at Rutgers in 2014. We lived on the same dorm floor, just two doors apart, and quickly became best friends. Somewhere along the way in college, that friendship turned into something more. Nearly a decade later just days before Thanksgiving, Andrew surprised me with a marriage proposal. He’d recruited my nephews as his accomplices, and they showed up wearing T-shirts that read, “Will you marry Big Andrew?” (a nickname he’s had for years). I was completely stunned, and with my whole family there to witness it, I said yes.»

There’s something about celebrating a marriage in a city this ancient, surrounded by so much history, that makes everything feel a little more meaningful. Candlelight warmed the room during the ceremony, and at the reception, chandeliers hung overhead like they were suspended from the sky. More than anything, I wanted that “where am I?” feeling, in the best possible way, and it was exactly what I’d imagined.

«My wedding dress was from Berta’s Privée collection. It was the first dress I saw in the catalog and the first one I tried on. Lace from top to bottom, with long sleeves, a sweeping lace train, and a dramatic cathedral-length veil, it had exactly the timeless, regal feel I wanted for the day and fit the venue perfectly. It also held a quiet meaning for me: the long lace sleeves were a subtle nod to my mom’s wedding dress from the ’80s.»

«My favorite moment of our wedding was walking down the aisle with my dad. A live harpist played as we walked, and the whole moment felt like a dream. It was emotional for both of us.»

«My advice to a bride planning her wedding is: Don’t get so caught up in the details that you forget to enjoy it. The day goes by in a flash, so soak in every moment and have fun.»

«I wanted the day to feel regal and timeless, so I kept the palette classic: white flowers softened with greenery, with gold details woven throughout. The venue was already so beautiful that it didn’t need much, just a few thoughtful touches to bring out a quiet, old-world elegance. The feeling I hoped for was that guests would walk in and feel transported to another era entirely. Being in Athens made that easy.»
