Few wedding settings feel as naturally romantic as a summer celebration by the sea and the wedding of Despina and Alex in Naxos embraced that beauty in the most heartfelt way. Known for its stunning beaches, authentic Cycladic character, traditional venues and unforgettable sunsets, Naxos provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with meaningful details and timeless romance. Having met years ago through mutual friends in their neighborhood, their story gradually blossomed into something truly special, leading to a beautifully orchestrated proposal in their backyard, surrounded by romantic decoration and illuminated letters. For their wedding day at the gorgeous Santana Beach Club & Restaurant, the couple envisioned a romantic and boho aesthetic centered around a monochromatic white palette, where every element felt intentional and personal. The floral design by Anemona Naxos transformed the celebration with an abundance of white roses and delicate baby’s breath, from the richly adorned circular ceremony arch set against the sparkling sea to the elegant reception arrangements that filled the tables with softness and texture. «For our wedding flowers, I knew I wanted something that felt like me, simple, elegant, and timeless. I chose all baby’s breath and white roses because they’re so soft and classic, and they created the most beautiful, clean look throughout the day», the bride shared with us. Subtle silver accents, personalized keepsakes and napkins featuring the couple’s initials, and a minimalist approach to styling brought the entire vision together beautifully by Kallina Wedding Planners. One of the most memorable design elements was the floral arch from the ceremony, which was later moved behind the sweetheart table and illuminated with the couple’s new surname, “The Millers”, creating a striking focal point that added both sentiment and beauty to the evening celebration. «Alex and I met many years ago through mutual friends in our neighborhood. It wasn’t anything big or dramatic at first we just kind of crossed paths naturally, and over time that turned into something really special. Looking back, it feels like we were always meant to find each other. When he proposed me, I had no idea what he had planned. He told me we were going out for dinner, so I went over to his house to get ready and when I walked into the backyard, I was completely surprised. He had everything set up so beautifully, with a “Will You Marry Me” banner and “D & A” lights glowing. It was such a perfect, intimate moment, and of course I said yes. Then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, all of our friends and family came out to surprise us. Seeing everyone there to celebrate with us made it even more emotional and unforgettable. It was honestly the most perfect night, and such a special way to start this next chapter of our lives together.»

«For our wedding flowers, I knew I wanted something that felt like me simple, elegant, and timeless. I chose all baby’s breath and white roses because they’re so soft and classic, and they created the most beautiful, clean look throughout the day. Everything about the style was very minimal but intentional, which really reflects who I am as a person. I’ve always loved things that are understated yet beautiful, and that’s exactly what I wanted our wedding to feel like. We carried that same vision into the décor as well, with subtle silver touches that added just the right amount of shine without taking away from the simplicity. We also added personal details like our initials on all the keepsakes and napkins, which made everything feel even more special. It was all so elegant and meaningful without ever feeling overdone exactly how I imagined it. I enjoyed our flower arch we had at our ceremony and then brought it afterwards In back of the bride and grooms table. We then lite it up with our last name “The Millers” which made it all the more beautiful and sentimental. It was the focal point of the night.»

«Our favorite moment was just being with all our family and friends who loved us and enjoying our time together. Our wedding was around 90 people which made it very intimate, which is something I always wanted.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is do not stress about the little things. It will all workout in the end.

«I was absolutely obsessed with my wedding dress it was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. It was part of a resort collection designed for destination weddings, which made it feel even more special and unique. The wedding dress was covered in the most stunning 3D floral details from top to bottom, giving it so much texture and dimension. It had a beautiful mermaid fit that hugged perfectly, along with a double train made entirely of lace that added such a dramatic and elegant touch. Honestly, it was the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. The moment I put it on, I just knew it was the one it felt like it was made for me, and I never wanted to take it off.»

«I truly couldn’t have brought my vision to life without my amazing wedding planners, Kalliopi and Katerina. From the very beginning, they understood exactly what I wanted and made everything feel so effortless and seamless. Every little detail reflected my style so perfectly, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was not only beautiful, but also stress-free for us. I felt so supported throughout the entire process, and I’m so grateful for everything they did to make our day exactly what I had always dreamed of.»
