The impressive stone architecture of Mani, its rugged natural landscape and turquoise waters create a breathtaking backdrop for Ariadne and Andrew’s romantic boho chic wedding, a beautiful destination celebration deeply connected to family, tradition and their unique love story. Their journey began with a simple match on Hinge and took an almost cinematic turn when Andrew secretly planned his proposal in Mani, on a small bridge in Ariadne’s grandmother’s village, a place filled with cherished childhood memories. With the help of her relatives, what Ariadne believed was a birthday celebration turned into an unforgettable surprise with cake, wine, happy tears and, shortly afterward, an entire village joining in with music, traditional songs and dancing! This meaningful connection to Mani was beautifully reflected in every detail of their wedding, thoughtfully planned and styled by ManiDeco Wedding Planning & Styling, combining timeless white with vibrant touches of fuchsia, orange and pink. For the seaside ceremony, a stunning wooden arch adorned with lush white orchids, hydrangeas and other all white blooms by Noufaro framed the couple, while the bridal bouquet followed the same soft white palette with orchids, lisianthus, roses, eucalyptus and cascading greenery. At the wedding reception, nestled among the olive trees, the setting came alive with color as Noufaro created lush floral arrangements featuring roses, lisianthus and chrysanthemums in vibrant shades of fuchsia, orange, pink and white, complemented by greenery and tall glass candleholders with white candles. Olive branch designs on the guest cards and delicate tulle bags filled with traditional wedding sweets added another lovely Mediterranean touch. Ariadne, who had been following Love4Weddings from the early stages of planning while searching for venue ideas and wedding inspiration, shares with us: “Our amazing wedding coordinator Georgia, owner of Mani Deco Events was perfect. Her vision board; customer service and ability to create the vision the. execute vision really made the local vibrant colors and flowers and special decor touches – was exactly what we had hoped for…” George Pahountis beautifully captures every tender moment, from the dreamy all white floral ceremony setting to the vibrant reception details and the couple’s happy smiles, bringing us along to a celebration that tells the beautiful story of two people and the place that means so much to them!

«Sometimes, when you know, you know. Just three days after Andrew moved to his new city, he and Ariadne went on their first date after matching on Hinge. What started as a simple swipe quickly turned into the kind of love story neither of them could have imagined. Years later, Andrew began secretly planning a proposal that would honor Ariadne’s family, heritage, and childhood memories. Working behind the scenes with her relatives in Mani, Greece, he coordinated every detail for a surprise she would never forget. During a family trip to Greece, Andrew convinced Ariadne to join him for what she believed was a casual birthday celebration in his honor. He suggested they visit a small bridge in her grandmother’s village—a place filled with cherished childhood memories and one that her grandmother had often taken her to when she was young. When they arrived, Ariadne found her cousins waiting with cake, wine, and smiles that seemed just a little too knowing. As she began to realize something special was happening, Andrew got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Through happy tears and complete surprise, Ariadne said yes…» the couple shared with us.

«But Andrew wasn’t finished. Almost immediately, villagers emerged from nearby homes and gathering places, joining the celebration. Music filled the air as friends, family, and neighbors sang traditional songs, danced, toasted the newly engaged couple, and welcomed Andrew into the community. What began as a quiet walk to a childhood landmark transformed into an unforgettable village-wide celebration. It felt like stepping into a movie. One minute I thought I was celebrating Andrew’s birthday, and the next, the entire village was celebrating our future together. The proposal was everything Andrew had hoped for: a tribute to family, tradition, and the love story that began with a simple Hinge match and led all the way to a tiny bridge in Mani, surrounded by generations of memories, laughter, music, and love.»

«I used to visit the Greek site Love4Weddings at the beginning of planning our wedding, looking at ideas for the location.»

We wanted wedding decoration that blended in with the beautiful landscape of Mani, especially since almost all of our 72 guests were from the United States and had never been to Mani. Our amazing wedding coordinator, Georgia, owner of Mani Deco Events, was perfect. Her vision board, customer service, and ability to create and then execute the vision really made the local vibrant colors, flowers, and special decor touches exactly what we had hoped for.

«My advice to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to remember the important parts of the process and choose your battles. Things that seem like a big deal during the planning most likely will be forgotten, even by you, during the wedding.»

«I chose a simple, elegant wedding dress to blend in with the scenery and overall vibe of the wedding. I wore my best friend’s veil and sewed a piece of my mother-in-law’s dress into mine. It was ivory, with spaghetti straps and a simple design.»

«One of our goals was to introduce our family and friends to the place that means so much to us—Mani, Greece. Since almost all of our guests traveled from the United States and had never visited the region, we planned a full week of activities to showcase its history, culture, and natural beauty. We organized a boat excursion along the coastline, a tour of the Byzantine city of Mistras, and a walking tour through the historic streets of Aeropoli, along with plenty of opportunities to enjoy local food, wine, and hospitality. While the wedding itself was incredible, our favorite memory happened after most of the formal celebrations had ended. Around midnight, as the band played its final song and packed up for the evening, we and a group of our closest friends spontaneously ran into the sea fully dressed in our wedding attire. What started as a quick jump turned into an hour of floating, laughing, and talking under the stars. There was something magical about sharing that moment with the people we love most, surrounded by the waters of Mani. It was completely unplanned, wonderfully carefree, and the perfect ending to an unforgettable week.»
