The fall rustic ionian wedding of Haris and Giorgos took place on the island of Lefkada. In a warm setting, a beautiful group of people lived unforgettable moments.
The wedding was held on the outskirts of the village Katouna, at the Pavezzo Country Retreat, a group of condos situated in a forest of cypress and olive trees.
In the green refuge, one can combine simplicity and class…stone and wood.
The wedding dress, a dreamy airy gown was the perfect choice for an ionian wedding.
A few moments before the bride would depart for the church.
The choice of this venue was excellent. It enhanced the rustic wedding theme with the elegant antiques other objects that were used in other centuries.
Handmade favors filled with Xatzigiannaki koufeta. The little satchels were placed on the wedding reception tables. They complimented the wedding decor that had a rustic and olive theme.
Giorgos proposed to Haris in their home in a very relaxed atmosphere. The question came out so naturally “What do you think? Want to get married in Septemeber?” and of course her answer was yes!
The bride was escorted to the church with traditional music, creating a wonderful experience for all.
One of the most cherished moments for all marrying couples is when the bride and the groom meet outside of the church.
The ionian wedding ceremony decor was definitely impressive. In the church yard, there were small olive trees that were decorated with burlap and olive green satin ribbons. The ceremony candles had a natural decoration with lysianthus flowers and olive tree leaves.
The ceremony took place at the quaint church of Koimiseos of Theotoko in Katouna, one of the most beautiful villages in Lefkada.
The bride’s advise for all the other couples planning their special day: “The bride should not allow anyone to stress her…to have a spontaneous wedding, to invite parents, siblings…first cousins and a few good friends”.
“Just Married”…What a wonderful wedding banner!
The guests wrote their wishes in a handmade wedding wish book, which was a labor of love from the bride’s sister. One wish stated: “With the alchemy of your love, earth will help you make roots to stand up high, fire will become creativity, water will clean you and become a stream of everything you want and live, air will give you breath during hard times and ether with give you inspiration and a fresh spirit”.
Happiness, joy… unforgettable moments.
The newlyweds chose to dance to the romantic song “Save Room” by John Legend. “Say that you’ll stay a little, don’t say bye-bye tonight…say you’ll be mine…just a little bit of love is worth a moment of your time”.
