With a beautiful arch of fuchsia bougainvillea embracing the entrance of the church and setting the tone for the day, Kelsey and Bobby’s wedding is filled with color, romance and the most delightful details! The creative team at R and C Events curated decoration that balances blue, white, pink and rich jewel tones, creating a look that blends beautifully with the landscape of Crete and the endless view of the sea. The reception tables are adorned with floral arrangements of hydrangeas, lisianthus and other blooms in shades of blue, white and pink, paired with blue glassware and delicate gold candle holders that add a special elegance to the setting, while the bridal bouquet stands out with its striking contrast of colors. Adding an especially touching note are the small symbolic items that accompanied the bride on this meaningful day. Her grandmother created the bouquet wrap, the clutch and the ring pillow from her own wedding dress and lent her necklace, while her mother sewed a bridal robe for the getting ready moments from her own wedding gown and transformed her veil into the one the bride wore. As Kelsey shared with us «For my wedding decoration I wanted a simple and elegant look. We went for mostly white flowers with pops of jewel tones. We loved the beautiful scenery of Crete and the ocean so we picked colors that were already in the background». «We met on a dating app and had mutual friends. We were in Savannah Georgia for a weekend trip over Valentine’s Day. We went to Forsyth park he had hired a photographer to capture it. The photographer was 30 min late so he was stalling and we walked so many laps around the park waiting for the photographer. After several laps around the park he proposed in front of the fountain.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to hire the wedding planner! It was the best decision we made in wedding planning. They found amazing vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly day of. We just got to relax and be present during the day.

She also lent me the necklace for my something borrowed. My mother had a robe made for me to get ready in from her wedding dress and was able to remake her veil into the one I wore.»
