The marriage proposal at the castle of Monemvasia on Vasia’s birthday was the sweetest beginning to their forever. Just a few months later, Vasia and Dimitris celebrated their love with a romantic spring wedding in Athens, choosing the Wine Museum for their reception, a venue known for its distinctive architecture and unique character that creates an unforgettable atmosphere in every corner. Their decoration was a dreamy blend of peach, white, pink and yellow hues, with eucalyptus, hydrangeas, violets, amaranthus, snapdragons, roses and calla lilies coming together to create an utterly romantic setting, while the bridal bouquet of roses, orchid, snapdragons and ranunculus perfectly completed the radiant bride’s look. The lens of Wedding Studio Lia Lignou captured every precious moment of their day, from the ceremony to their grand entrance at the reception, about which the bride shared with us «Our favorite moment from the wedding was our entrance into the reception at the Wine Museum and of course the party with our friends and family.». Their next day photoshoot at the University of Athens, one of the city’s most iconic neoclassical landmarks, was the perfect finale to this beautiful love story!

«We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party, and the proposal happened on my own birthday during a little getaway we took to the castle of Monemvasia.»

«I used to visit the Love4Weddings site, and I found so many ideas there, especially for the wedding decoration and for the groom’s suit.»

My advice to a bride who is now planning her wedding now is that unfortunately it is quite hard not to feel stressed. There are so many choices and so many decisions you have to make. Still, many things on that day go unnoticed. Decisions that may have troubled us for so long might not even be visible in the end. We should not forget that a wedding is essentially a celebration of the couple’s love, shared with family and friends, and everyone should come with the best intentions.

«I designed my wedding dress together with Mrs. Georgia, the beloved designer from Whiteline Atelier. I wanted something romantic and full of sparkle. Something light that would not tire me during the night. And my dress truly was romantic, shimmering all over, with modern touches.»

«The flowers we chose for our wedding decoration were eucalyptus, white hydrangea, violet, amaranthus, snapdragons, roses and calla lilies. The style of the decoration was romantic, chic and minimal. I truly loved both the church and the reception decoration. I loved it because it was a blend of flowers with fabrics and golden details, creating a light and chic feeling without being heavy or overdone.»
