This orchard inspiration shoot is just dreamy! Mixed metals and mostly copper were the colors used for the table setting and the flower arrangements and combined with the elegant Amsale wedding dress… this wedding inspiration shoot is just beautiful! Simply K Studios shared with us: “Photographing this shoot was a dream. I love different textures, and there was no shortage of them between the florals, glitter-infused paper, metals, and fabrics. The play of soft fabrics and delicate florals against the harder metallics complimented the style and created an upscale twist, keeping the shoot fresh and modern. My ultimate goal was to capture genuine emotion between Chloe & Charles, as I do at every wedding I photograph…”
From the wedding planner, 5th Avenue Weddings & Events: “When I was asked to put together this shoot for Hickory Hill Orchards, I sat with the owners to get a sense of what they were looking to do. We obviously wanted keep it fresh; vintage would be an ideal look for an orchard, but why not bring a classic, modern side into that. Looking over current trends and trying not to repeat what has already been done, I knew mixed metals was the way to go and there was not doubt that I wanted copper to play a major role. As I spoke with each of my favorite vendors and pulled together the inspiration I knew it would be everything the owners envisioned. The “Elaine” wedding gown from Amsale’s new Spring 2016 line was just the beginning of the inspiration. Its soft skirt had just enough sparkle to not take away from the natural beauty of the gown. I added in the same softness with the bridesmaid dress, but in a deeper neutral grey, so it could mix well with the other metals of the shoot. The bold copper chandelier with the cooper flatware, classic stationary, mixed metal makeup, ivory flowers, and soft fabrics helped bring everything together perfectly.”
From Admire Design: “I started this paper suite by designing a custom monogram for the couple featuring an antique engraved frame; so classic. What really makes you say “Ooh!” when you open the invitation though is the gorgeous glitter-infused rose gold paper. It looked amazing in the sunlight at the orchard!”
From Candi’s Floral Creations: “With this shoot we wanted a fresh and on trend feeling and I’ve been wanting to use my vintage wire chandelier forever so I was determined to make it work in this vineyard shoot. I am a big believer of adding that touch of gold or silver to glitz up a rustic wedding or enhance an elegant one. Frankly, I have been longing for a new glitzy element to use and looked to the other metallics. I sprayed my black chandelier Copper and voila! The vision was born. I wanted that to be the focal piece and to have the copper and rose gold accents to stand out so I chose to design all the florals in white. Since all white tends to feel elegant and given the location being an orchard, I designed everything a bit garden-y to create the overall feeling of Garden Elegance. “We wanted this cake to be classic with a touch of whimsy. Coloring the top tier copper allowed us to incorporate metallics while giving the cake a somewhat less formal feel, perfect for a wedding at an orchard. To compliment the florals, we handcrafted edible sugar flowers including leaves, berries, and a large-scale open rose.” Erica O’Brien Cake Design shared with us.
