From the very first glance, Electra and Aaron’s destination wedding in Athens completely steals the spotlight. Their love story is just as beautiful as their wedding day itself. They met by chance on a flight from Muscat to Doha, she as a flight attendant and he as a passenger. «Our journey, which began with a chance meeting in the clouds, has become a beautiful testament to how unexpected encounters can lead to extraordinary relationships», the bride shared with us. Set against the endless blue of the sea and an idyllic landscape, the reception scene truly creates a dreamy atmosphere. Floral arrangements in white, green and soft sage tones featuring roses, hydrangeas, delphinium, baby’s breath, eucalyptus, olive branches and fragrant Mediterranean herbs transform the tables into a fresh summer garden, while subtle gold details add an elegant glow. Electra described their wedding as having a fresh summer botanical theme inspired by a garden, with outdoor Mediterranean elements and luxurious gold accents, and we could not agree more that this vision is perfectly reflected in every detail of the decoration. Through the lens of Pahountis Photography, every moment is captured in a way that makes us feel as if we were right there, witnessing up close the most beautiful beginning of their life together.

«It all started in the skies. I was a cabin crew for an airline operating a flight from Muscat to Doha, while Aaron was one of the passengers on board. Their interaction was brief but memorable, just a quick chat about the best places to explore in Doha. Little did we know that this trip would change their lives. A few days later, fate took an interesting turn. While out with a friend in Doha, I happened to bump into Aaron and his friends. What started as a chance encounter turned into an evening full of laughter and connection. We spent hours enjoying each other’s company and forming a bond that felt both new and familiar. As the night drew to a close, Aaron asked for my number, and they we began chatting. The conversations flowed effortlessly and soon enough, we made plans to see each other in Rotterdam, where Aaron was working at the time. Meeting in Rotterdam was the beginning of a series of adventures that kept us on the move. From that point on, our lives seemed to intertwine in the most delightful ways. We began to follow each other’s travels, and our relationship blossomed. Aaron would join me during my layovers when he could, and I made every effort to catch flights that brought me closer to wherever he was. Since then, our story has taken them on countless new adventures, both near and far. Whether it’s exploring new cities, enjoying quiet moments at home, or simply reminiscing about that pivotal flight, we have embraced every moment together. Our journey, which began with a chance meeting in the clouds, has become a beautiful testament to how unexpected encounters can lead to extraordinary relationships.»

«For our wedding decoration we chose a magical pastel combo of white, ivory, sage, olive green with gold splashes and flowers as delphinium, garden roses, spray roses, hydrangea, olive branches, eucalyptus, baby’s breath, herbs, ruskus, astradia, allium and elements of wood, glass, ceramic, porcelain, gold metal. A Fresh summer botanical, garden inspired theme, with al-fresco Mediterranean details and gold luxury touches.»

«Petridis floral creations brought our vision to life with the wonderful floral set ups! My bridal bouquet was simple and elegant, a large bunch of long stem white roses perfectly picked by one of our planners, Krista, we also had my bouquet preserved after the wedding in the UK by Jenny & Katie from Infinity Flowers. We loved every detail from our wedding, from the floral installation on the church to the beautiful garland on our table to the tiny olive branches on the guests place cards, everything was perfect! Our planners (George & Krista from GK Events) and the Venue (Island Art & Taste Gallery) really ensured our day was as spectacular! We also used Kibeli Photo Booth which was a huge hit with all of our guests and added so many memories and even more fun to the day!»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to try not to stress about the little things, prioritise what truly matters to you as a couple and just enjoy the lead up to the day and the day itself!

«My wedding dress was bought from Vonve Bridal Couture in Johannesburg South Africa. Shopping for my dress was a dream I had been having for a long time and I am so lucky to have had my mom experience this dream of finding “the one” with me. My wedding dress was absolutely perfect, beautiful, elegant and everything I had hoped for. I tried on a few different styles and couldn’t quite decide what direction to go in, but then I found “the one”. It had the drama of a full skirt for the ceremony, which made it feel so special and timeless and then the skirt could be removed for a more fitted style for the reception. It felt perfectly me.»

«My favourite moment was the moment right after we were married, walking back up the aisle and just feeling so much joy taking our first steps together as husband and wife. Nothing can beat that just married feeling and being pelted with rice from all our loved ones! Aaron’s favourite moment was during our entrance to the reception where we walked out to the song of “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang and we had giant sparklers go off when we shared a kiss and a cheers and all our guests were standing and dancing with their napkins waving in the air as we danced our way to our seats. (and all the delicious food of course).»
