There’s something so timeless about a summer wedding by the sea and Harriet & Simon’s celebration planned by Marriage in Style captures that feeling to perfection. The couple, who got engaged during a romantic sunset proposal in Mykonos, envisioned an alfresco reception that felt intimate yet refined. Under a canopy of cascading greenery and shimmering crystal chandeliers with a modern lattice design, the reception tables were decked out in ultra-lush arrangements of blush peonies, white lisianthus, roses in soft pink and ivory tones and white dahlias. Long wooden tables framed by neutral-toned chairs were styled with soft blush and cream florals, sage greenery and flickering taper candles, creating a look that balanced rustic charm and modern sophistication. «For our wedding decoration we opted for a neutral flower decoration with neutral pinks, sage greens and creams with lots of hanging green leafy decorations. We loved the flower and table decorations, the hanging decorations around the tables and the bridal ceremony.» With the ocean glistening in the background and the golden light of sunset casting a warm glow over every petal, this wedding perfectly combined refined luxury with the natural beauty of the outdoors. You must see this wedding and get lost in every breathtaking detail!

«We met at work in 2015. Simon proposed me in 2022, Simon took me to Mykonos for my 30th birthday celebration. Unbeknownst to me, he was intending to propose to me 2 years prior when I travelled to the UK for family reasons. I couldn’t return to Australia and we didn’t see each other for 22 months. All of our family and friends knew about the proposal, Simon finally proposed to me on 31st May 2022 in Mykonos at sunset from their private balcony villa, after a day of wine and cheese tasting, massages and beach walks.»

«My wedding dress was from Love Marie in Australia, a khya dress but I added lace. It was what I always imagined- off the shoulder a sweetheart neckline and lace lining the top with a long train, it was perfect.»

«My favorite moment from our wedding is when we were reading our personal vows to each other. And for Simon was when walking back down the aisle after we were married.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to stay with each other throughout the night, stay with each other and take a moment for just the two of you.
