In enchanting Santorini, with the caldera stretching out before them and the island’s iconic sunsets painting every moment in breathtaking hues, Briarna and Logan’s destination wedding feels like a scene straight out of a dream, filled with deep emotion and genuine love. The couple chose to celebrate their 8th anniversary with an intimate elopement, as the bride shared «On our 8th anniversary, we eloped along Santorini’s breathtaking caldera in an intimate ceremony, just the two of us and one very special photographer, a pretty incredible setting to celebrate the journey that brought us here…», with Vasilis Liappis Photography capturing every beautiful moment in a way that completely captivated us. Their ceremony unfolded beneath an arch adorned with roses, peonies, dahlias and eucalyptus in shades of burgundy, blush and white, creating a romantic setting that blended seamlessly with the natural landscape. Among the most powerful moments of the day, she recalls watching the sunset over the sea with her now-official husband, just the two of them, soft music playing in the background and «it felt like the world had gone quiet for a moment and I’m not sure anything will ever top it…» Let yourself fall into the magic of this unforgettable wedding and discover every lovely detail through these stunning images!

«I’m from NSW, Australia, and Logan is from Alberta, Canada. We met in 2017 while I was travelling through Canada and what began as a two-year adventure abroad quickly turned into something neither of us expected. By 2019 Logan had moved across the world to Australia so we could build our life together. A few years later, while visiting his family and friends back in Canada, he proposed me beneath Margaret Falls in British Columbia, actually surprising me (which is no easy feat!). Since then, we’ve bought our first home and welcomed our beautiful daughter, Elsie. On our 8th anniversary, we eloped along Santorini’s breathtaking caldera in an intimate ceremony, just the two of us and one very special photographer, a pretty incredible setting to celebrate the journey that brought us here.»

«With a backdrop, venue and sunset like the ones we had, I knew we didn’t need to overdo it with decorations. The setting truly spoke for itself. The florals were actually silk flowers that I ordered online and packed into our suitcases all the way from Australia! The night before the wedding, we spent the evening in our villa fluffing them up with a garment steamer so they looked their best. Thankfully, they turned out beautifully and I love that I still have them and can now display them in our home as a little reminder of the day.»

«My favorite moment from my wedding would have to be watching the sunset over the water with my newly official husband. By that point all the vendors had packed up and left and it was just the two of us enjoying beautiful food, a great bottle of wine and all our favourite music playing in the background. With the most incredible view in front of us, it felt like the world had gone quiet for a moment and I’m not sure anything will ever top it.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is not to stress the small things. I know that on your wedding day even the tiniest details can feel huge, but you want to remember it for all the beautiful moments and feelings, not for how stressed you were trying to make everything perfect. The vibe you put out is the vibe you’ll get back.

«I bought my wedding dress from a local bridal boutique near my home. It wasn’t at all the style I originally thought I would choose, but the moment I tried it on, I just knew it was the one.»
