Marta and Vasilis celebrated their special day at the Wine Museum in Athens with pretty romantic florals and a soft neutral colour palette decorating every inch of the celebration. Marta’s wedding gown by Demetrios with a stunning plunging V-neck bodice made her truly stand out! Bistecca Social Catering prepared an excellent tasting experience for the couple’s guests and Nikolas Fanos beautifully captured the joy of the day that radiates through every image!

“Vasilis and I met in Beijing, China, in 2013. We were studying in the same university but in different classes. A friend of mine was in Vasilis’ class so we started hanging out every day all together. Vasilis expressed his interest in me, but I was in a period that I just wanted to be alone. He didn’t give up and with his sweetness and care he made me fall in love with him. We have been in distance for the following 2 years since I was doing my master in Venice, and he was doing his MBA in Athens. At the end of 2015 we decide to go back together to China where we have been living and working until 2019, when we moved to Athens”, Marta mentioned to us.
“Vasilis proposed on the 23rd of December and I didn’t expect it at all. We have been living together for so many years and we were talking about marriage like daily but without making any plans. That day, I went home after work and Vasilis told me he would prepare a nice dinner to celebrate our monthly anniversary (yes, we are celebrating every month on the 18th, since the day we started being together – 18th of April 2013). So he made a nice romantic dinner, with candles and after dinner he told me to go to the bedroom since he wanted to prepare the dessert. I went to the bedroom and I put on my pajamas since I thought that that dinner was over and we would relax on the sofa watching a movie. Then he called me back in the living room where I saw on the wall ‘From Ms to Mrs’ and Vasilis kneeled down with a big diamond asking me to be his wife! I was in shock, I didn’t expect it at all, I was wearing pink pajamas with pandas, staring at him speechless! Of course, I said yes and we also took a Polaroid to remember that unique moment! We got married on 3rd July 2022, we adopted a dog, our lovely Kiera, and we are looking forward to make our family even bigger”.
“Thanks to Vasilis’ family help we found the best decorations and flowers colors. I can speak Greek fluently, but I do not know specific words about flowers and objects, therefore Vasilis followed me in every appointment and helped me find what I really wanted for the wedding decoration. The flower shop we cooperated with in Aharnes, provided us beautiful garland with white and ecru flowers that we place in the church in Mouseio Oinou and in our table. The candles, the lights and the tables’ decorations were made of the same flowers that had similar color tones of my dress. The tables had tablecloth and napkins of ecru color as well as our bomboniera. Fine and elegant without exaggeration in order to represent La finezza italiana”.
“I was following Love4Weddings at the beginning when I was searching ideas for decorations and wedding dress”.
“My favorite moment were the Greek dances of course! I was always imagiged to have a Big Fat Greek Wedding and I think I did it! With Vasilis we went to dance classes since we didn’t know how to dance the traditional dances and I believe we went very well! The dance floor was full of people dancing and it was also a unique experience for our guests that came from all over the world (including China!)”
“I bought my wedding dress in Demetrios, the brand I chose (by luck) is Italian! I went to see many shops, I have tried so many dresses and as they say it happens, you really feel when your dress is the one. I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I was trying other dresses. I have always wanted an elegant mermaid dress, not shiny but impressive. The dress I chose is romantic, all in lace, with a deep neckline on the chest and back. Of course, I paired it with a long veil which I removed after the ceremony. The dress has a long tail that can be gathered up with buttons, making it easier to move and dance!”
