The bride shared with us: «We knew each other since we were 16 and 19. He lives in Berlin and I used to live in Braunschweig (Germany) He was one of the best friends of my cousin and Baha visited him in 2008, where we met for the first time. Since then we saw each other from time to time at parties or other occasions. But a few years later we realized that we quite like each other and so what started as friends in 2008 ended up in a relationship 6 years later…»
«In 2021, after being in a relationship for almost 7 years, we went on vacation together with my sister and his best friend. After spending a few days there and with the excuse of a fancy dinner, he told me to dress up. Before the dinner started, he said that he wanted to show me something. I was suspicious but still didn’t believe or thought that he was going to propose. He took me on a roof terrace, where I was welcomed by a wonderful ocean view from one side and a beautiful mountain view from the other side. He decorated the terrace with fairy lights and candles and two violinists were playing music. While they played our favorite song, he popped the question I just hugged him and started to cry out from happiness. And then my sister and his best friend joined us, which meant a lot to me having my sister with me in this moment. After toasting and enjoying the moment, we went to a nice restaurant. After a while he asked me out of the blue: “So I still don’t know do you want to marry me?” I was so in shock, I totally forgot to say yes, when he proposed. But of course I said I do…hours later!»
«As an architect and artist I love aesthetics. So I always knew how I wanted my wedding and decorations to be. Luckily my husband let me decide everything regarding the decoration. Even though I love using bright colors for my paintings, I knew I wanted to express my love for earth like tones, which represent both our love for nature. So I created a mood board to sum up my ideas and we asked our guests to wear nude, gold and creamy-beige earth colors, to match the theme.»
«Finding my wedding planner Xenia from Riviera Blue Events, made everything perfect, because after talking once with her, she exactly knew what we wanted and even helped us to express our personality and cultural backgrounds (me being Persian and him being Kurdish) in the wedding decoration. So we decided for a modern boho-chic style with a touch of glamourous details and integrated the Persian ceremony with the traditional “sofreh aghd”. We loved the result. The table decoration, earth tones and the popp of soft colors inside the flower arrangements and the interplay with the various flowers were mesmerizing.»

«I bought my wedding dress in a bridal shop called Brautbluete in Germany. The designer is Enzoani. The dress for my civil wedding was a classy and timeless dress. So I wanted something totally different for the wedding in Athens. That’s why I decided to choose a mermaid dress with details and to give the dress a dramatic touch I chose to put on a cathedral veil. »
The bride’s advise: «I always thought that planning a destination wedding would be very stressful. But I can say I was the most relaxed bride, thanks to my wedding planner Xenia. She helped me so much with my ideas and saving money. We didn’t even had to come to Athens once before the wedding. So finding the right wedding planner is the most important thing like finding the right photographer/videographer and DJ. Talk to a few and check their work and reviews. And its also important that there is a connection between the couple and the vendors. For us Xenia was very lovely and kind but still very professional, which was important for us. Also with our photographers “Hopestudio”. As your photographer will accompany you the whole day, it is important to feel comfortable with them. Especially if one of the couples are not the type of person who likes or feel comfortable while being photographed. With their professional work our pictures turned out amazing. Second advice for couples is to create yourself a mood board before consulting a wedding planner. It helps and saves you and your planner a lot of time. With a visualization it’s easier to filter or add things based on your mood board. Even if you don’t know how you want the result to be, it’s helpful when it’s only a color palette or details that you want to have at your wedding… A good wedding planner is always worth their money because they help you from the beginning until the end and put a lot of work to create the wedding of your dreams.»
