A destination wedding in Santorini will always mesmerize us; the beauty of the island and a madly in love couple are a picture-perfect combination! Today’s wedding is not an exception since the intimate wedding of Nicol and Sebastian was just dreamy. The lovely couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony, having a magic view as the backdrop. Flower arrangements in pastel hues decorated the ceremony and reception area complementing the beautiful setting. Have a look at the beautiful photos by Pahountis Photography and be mesmerized!
The bride shared with us: “We met our senior year in high school. He proposed twice, once when we were alone in his parent’s backyard with roses and champagne. The second time he did a grand proposal at Caesar palace in front of our families”.
“I actually had two wedding dresses! My ceremony dress was designed by Calla Blanche. The moment I tried on the dress, I knew it was the one. It was the perfect design; the trail was very long and very comfortable. My second dress was custom made by Erika Esparza. I wanted a dress that represented Greece as well as a unique touch. I sent Erika all of my ideas and she created a dream dress!”
“For my bouquet I had all white roses”.
“We picked Santorini as our wedding destination because the views were breathtaking as well as one of the most romantic cities we have ever visited”.
“The ceremony took place at The Santorini Gem”.“There were so many great moments from our wedding, my favorite was dancing traditional Greek dances with our guests! It was so much fun”.
“We wanted to create a timeless moment, that would be classic and never out of style. The main color we wanted was white, with a touch of greenery from the flowers. The view from our venue was magical, so we wanted to make sure our decoration complimented the view”.
“For the decor, we had vibrant white flowers surrounded by greenery and small gold touches. We placed the name tags on the plates paired with a little olive branch to tie the look together. Our plates had a gold trim, and the table numbers were in gold frames”.
“My advice for future brides would be to never forget the reason why you are doing all of this…for love! Break some rules and have fun with your decor, do the things that you’ll look back on and smile! Don’t just “follow trends”, follow yours and your partners heart.”
“For all the future brides out there, don’t forget the purpose of your beautiful day, which is to celebrate love! When planning, don’t get caught up in “perfection” but rather trust the process! You picked your vendors for a reason, have faith that they will make sure everything will go smoothly and according to plan! At the end of the day, it is about the love you share between one another…everything else is a bonus! Be grateful and humble and enjoy every single minute of planning!”
