Santorini is not only one of the most romantic places to visit, but also to get married there! This lovely couple exchanged vows in a beautiful place with an incredible view!
Stella & Moscha Weddings shared with us: “Every so often you get a couple that is truly inspired and inspiring and so was Katrina and John. These two have been engaged since 2011 but as the birth of their two sons dominated their lives for a few years, a proper wedding and celebration was inevitably put on hold. A large wedding in their home city Perth, Australia that would be much too large, impersonal and over in practically one night just wouldn’t cut it. They spontaneously decided on following their hearts to Greece for an intimate wedding that would also double as a family holiday making the decision perfect.”
The bride shared with us: “Having our dream wedding was starting to fade and we ended up having a long 5 year engagement. We were practically married right? But being a girl I still wanted THAT magical day. We have been lusting over Greece since our 2011 European trip and had always said that one day we would come back…”
“We locked in our anniversary date 27th June, contacted Stella & Moscha and the rest was history. It was the best decision we ever made. It was the perfect and epic 3 day sun-filled celebration with breathtaking views and spectacular sunsets with our best friends and family” – Katrina.
“The Santorini background was familiar but the feeling of actually being there is overwhelming. Looking over the caldera from the amazing terrace of Le Ciel just before the ceremony, makes you want to stop for a minute and try to take it all in. The scenery was perfect: the flowers were white, the June sun bright and John was waiting at the altar with the children enjoying the open space while the harp’s melody completed the romance”, Stella & Moscha Weddings shared with us.
”Katrina wore a staggering Galia Lahav Haute Couture dress and walked down the aisle to find her supportive bridesmaids and groomsmen, the father of her children and the two boys that filled her life with joy. She already had her family and they were all there to seal the deal!”
”George Pahountis’ lens captured the couple’s meaningful vows, the stylish guests and every bit of the simple yet luxurious decor that blended perfectly with the vintage character of La Maltese in Imerovigli. The golden details added just enough accentuation to the decor to create a classy finish that let the golden tones of the sunset to take over.”
”The highlight of the night: The elegant white cake with gold shavings and stark white hydrangeas playfully mated with the kids’ favourite superhero. Batman couldn’t make it to Santorini this summer so we had to make do with the best possible substitute.”
