Christina and Alexandre sealed their love in Tinos, one of their favorite Greek islands! Their wedding followed a cactus themed with a unique vintage style. The theme was inspired by the island as Tinos is full of cactus. The gorgeous bride chose to wear a romantic wedding dress with Chanel lace which was handmade, airy and comfortable… matched perfectly with the concept and the style of the wedding. The decoration was handmade staff and crafts combined with fresh white, yellow and purple flowers. Enjoy a beautiful, natural wedding captured by Olga Wedding Photography!

From the bride: “We met in a Greek Halloween party at a common friend’s house in Vouliagmeni back in 2005! It was crush on the first sight….but not the perfect timing! We were bumping to each other for years till we finally stuck together the summer of 2013 in Antiparos! Around Valentine’s day of 2017 we were off for skiing holidays and he completely surprised me, proposing by the fireplace at our magic hotel room surrounded by snow!”

“My wedding dress was with Chanel haute couture delicate lace handmade crafted and gifted by godmother, an experienced wedding dressmaker in Greece! The concept was to be as aerial as it gets and match with the wind, the main characteristic of Tinos island! ”

“The ceremony took place in Tinos island, one of our favorite Greek islands, where I own a private house! We love to party all day long and we insisted both in a morning ceremony! Therefore, the ideal scenario for an all-day wedding was by the sea of our island, Tinos island!”

“Our wedding was cactus themed in a La-La Land vintage style! Cactus came to us, since we are we are stuck together. Also Tinos is full of cactus and the most well known bar is called Cactus! The Lalaland also came to me as it was the most romantic movie of 2017 – city of stars became island of stars….”

“My flower bouquet had mostly wild flowers- white-powder pink peonies surrounded by daisies, baby breathe, lavender- grown in local territory in bright colors, such as yellow, lavanter, green, light pink and of course white!”

“The decoration was hand-made staff and crafts collected from different shops. We mainly found inspiration on Pinterest, but everything came up very clear in our heads, as we knew exactly the spirit we wanted for our wedding!”

“The most memorable and funny moment of our wedding was the “rain of rice”, as we became viral in social media in a few hours for the amount of rice, barley and even lentils that the groom’s friends managed to throw on us! Also, during the “wedding cake” the groom uplifted everybody on stage while he was dancing -so sexy- “Jingo” with 2 big knifes on his hands!”

Bride’s advice: “The recipe of a successful wedding is one and always works; be in love with your other half – the couple gives the vibes, book a good DJ, have lot of alcohol, keep your guests well feed and find an artist photographer and videographer to capture your moments”.
