There is something about a romantic wedding in Athens that always makes our day a little more brighter. Gabriela and Demetrios’ destination wedding brought together white and fuchsia flowers, vivid bougainvillea and beautiful moments captured by wedding photographer Nikos Tselios. Gabriela and Demetrios met in Brazil about five years ago while working on a farm. They are both agronomists, and their relationship began soon after they met. Demetrios, who has Greek roots, travelled to Greece with Gabriela in 2024, and during their stay at a beautiful hotel in Zakynthos, he proposed at sunset, giving them a moment they will never forget. When the time came to plan their wedding in Athens, bougainvillea became the heart of their romantic decoration, bringing a bold Greek character to the white and fuchsia palette and contrasting beautifully with the blue of the sky and the sea. «For our wedding decoration, we chose bougainvillea as the main inspiration. It is a flower that I love very much and I believe it is very characteristic of Greece…..», the bride shared with us. The entrance of the church was decorated with a striking diagonal floral garland featuring roses, bougainvillea, lisianthus and delphinium in shades of white and fuchsia, while Gabriela carried a romantic posy bouquet composed of roses, lisianthus, hydrangea and Italian ruscus in the same tones. While planning the celebration, Gabriela visited Chic and Stylish Weddings for inspiration, finding decoration ideas as well as recommendations for wedding venues and photographers. It was through the site that the couple discovered Nikos Tselios, who photographed and filmed their wedding day in Athens.
