A gorgeous destination wedding in Kalamata, vibrant colors, flowers that look as though they have just been picked from a summer garden and a stylish bride bring us a celebration filled with love and unforgettable moments! Alexis and Maxwell chose the beautiful seaside town of Kalamata for their summer wedding, a destination that perfectly combines Mediterranean beauty with a relaxed coastal atmosphere, surrounded by their favorite people who traveled to celebrate with them. Their love story began at a restaurant, where Alexis was having dinner with a friend when Max walked in. Later, during a hike in Telluride, Colorado, Max proposed to Alexis, with both of their families there to celebrate their happiness afterward. For their wedding day, the couple envisioned a light, colorful and effortlessly relaxed atmosphere, encouraging their guests to wear bright summer colors without following a strict dress code. Orange, a favorite color of both Alexis and Max, played a leading role in their wedding palette, with the bridesmaids wearing different shades of orange and the beautiful floral arrangements by Noufaro bringing together soft pastel tones of orange, blue, pink and yellow. Delicate, airy flowers framed their seaside ceremony, creating a lovely contrast against the lush greenery of the garden and the blue sea stretching toward the horizon. At the reception, long wooden tables and natural wooden chairs blended beautifully with the green surroundings and palm trees, while little bottles of olive oil and disco ball keychains at each place setting added a playful, personal touch. Konstantinos Theofilopoulos Photography captured every beautiful moment, from the emotion of the ceremony and the colorful blooms to the candid moments shared by the couple and their loved ones. Among all these memories, there is one moment that Alexis holds especially close to her heart: “My favorite moment from my wedding was doing a special mother-daughter dance with my mom and then having all of the guests join in. The photos from this are my favorite.” A stunning seaside destination wedding filled with beautiful colors, thoughtful personal details and countless moments of love, all waiting to be discovered through the gorgeous photographs that follow!

«We met at a restaurant when Alexis was getting dinner with her friend and Max walked in. Max proposed to Alexis when they were on a hike in Telluride, Colorado, and then both of their families were there to celebrate with them afterward.» the couple shared with us.

«We wanted the wedding decoration to be very light and colorful. Both Alexis and Max’s favorite color is orange, so the bridesmaids were in orange colors and the flowers reflected this with pastel colors of orange, blue, pink and yellow. At each table setting, we gave out little olive oils and disco ball keychains. Disco balls were hung from above and guests were encouraged to wear colorful summer colors, but otherwise there was no strict dress code as we wanted people to be comfortable.»

My advice to a bride planning her wedding is to try not to stress about the small things. It is much easier said than done, but things will work out the way they are supposed to and if one small thing is wrong, none of the guests will ever know. Also, try to be as present as possible throughout the day with your family and friends.

«My wedding dress was the first dress that I tried on. It was initially just a strapless dress and I was not sure about it. But then the associate put the neck scarf on with it and immediately I knew I loved it. I continued to try on around 20 more dresses, but still came back to this one every time. The neck scarf made the dress for me.»
