A large red heart, thousands of flowers and a reception inside GSP Stadium come together to create Charis and Giorgos’ one of a kind wedding, an incredible celebration filled with retro glamour references! Choosing a stadium for their wedding reception was undoubtedly an original and truly impressive idea, as with the creative vision of Splendid Events, the GSP pitch was completely transformed into a fashion-forward world of fuchsia, burgundy, red, pink, silver and iridescent touches. A pink aisle and flooring, metallic silver surfaces and fabrics, transparent chairs, pink and burgundy tablecloths, glass candle holders with candles and personalized paper boxes beautifully completed the table setting, while the reception‘s exquisite catering was provided by Occhio Catering. Abundant floral arrangements at different heights, featuring roses, hydrangeas, gerberas, orchids and lilies, filled the space, while disco balls nestled among the flowers, disco cherries, disco hearts and personalized illustrations inspired by GSP Stadium and the couple’s story revealed just how different and completely true to themselves they wanted this day to be. Charis looked stunning in her custom Celia Kritharioti wedding dress, featuring a strapless corset hand embroidered with Swarovski crystals in pink, iridescent and silver shades, a delicate black velvet belt and a voluminous A-line maxi polka dot tulle skirt with a long, airy train, while her asymmetric, sculptural bouquet tied in beautifully with the entire bold concept. One of the most unforgettable moments of the day was the couple’s entrance to a medley of their favorite rock songs, with flares lighting up the stadium stands, a moment the bride describes so beautifully: «Our favorite moment was just before our entrance to the reception. We went up together to the VIP boxes at GSP and watched from above as our guests filled the stadium. It was one of the very few moments during the day when we were alone together. Our entrance was truly magical. We entered to a medley of our favorite rock songs, while flares lit up the stadium stands. It was a moment filled with energy and so much love.» The photographs take us through every beautiful detail of this unique wedding and they are truly worth enjoying one by one!

«Our wedding decor had a strong funky and playful character, combining elements of retro glamour with a modern disco aesthetic. Our color palette featured shades of fuchsia, burgundy, red and silver. We wanted our wedding to be different and completely representative of who we are. That is why we incorporated playful disco elements in different colors, such as disco cherries, disco hearts and disco lips, as well as personalized illustrations inspired by GSP Stadium and our own story.» the bride told us.

«I visited the greek wedding site Love4Weddings while I was planning my wedding.»

«My wedding dress was a custom creation by Celia Kritharioti, designed especially to transform throughout the day. In fact, no one knew what my wedding dress would look like except my mother, which made the reveal even more special. The base was a strapless corset, entirely hand embroidered with Swarovski crystals in shades of pink, iridescent and silver, creating an effect that looked almost like a piece of jewelry. A delicate black velvet belt added contrast and a subtle rock touch. The look had four different versions: a striking maxi polka dot tulle skirt, a party look with shorts and a tulle skirt, which I removed later, as well as detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves. Celia Kritharioti also designed my Swarovski hair accessories especially for me. I wanted the wedding dress to be unexpected and to fully express my personality.»

Every detail was designed to create moments of surprise and make our guests feel like they were part of one big, colorful celebration. The flowers were the stars of the decor, with abundant arrangements of roses, hydrangeas and gerberas in different shades of pink and fuchsia. My bouquet had a more fashion-forward feel, combining striking pink orchids with calla lilies in an asymmetric and sculptural arrangement that perfectly matched the modern and unconventional character of our wedding.
