Marlene and Noel invite us into a springtime celebration filled with color and heartfelt moments at the idyllic Columbia Beach Resort in Pissouri Bay on the southern coast of Cyprus, a place where the sea embraces the landscape and every moment feels lifted from a fairytale. The couple chose a modern chic concept with a strong focus on florals and meaningful details that honored their Indian heritage, and Kanella Mavri Zachari beautifully designed every element of the day, from the romantic ceremony adorned with soft pink and lilac blooms to the evening reception where richer, more dramatic tones set the mood. The striking sweetheart table, dressed in a black cloth and embellished with lush purple, red, and lilac arrangements by Paper Flowers Cyprus, became a standout feature that added an elegant and romantic touch to the night. Speaking about planning her wedding, Marlene shared: «The advice I would give a bride who is now preparing for her wedding is start early, don’t get swayed by trends and ensure to involve little bits and pieces of what your husband wants- it is his day too!». The beautiful photos capture the magic of this unforgettable celebration, inviting you to discover every exquisite detail.

«We met through a dating app in 2017. It didn’t work out because of life. We remained friends and started dating in March 2023, engaged in Cyprus April 2024 and married April 2025. Noel proposed to me in Cyprus in an intimate proposal on the beach! It was a complete surprise.»

«My wedding dress was elaborate! It was an A-line, off shoulder dress that I purchased in Dubai. It had a long trail and was everything I wanted. The vision was ” I want to glisten like the ocean”»

«The wedding decoration was intended to be really simple colour palettes, big blooms for each part of the day. For the nuptials, we went with wildflowers and big blooms that were pastel and light shades that made the blue of the ocean pop in the background. We used a 70-30 split between artificial and real flowers. We didn’t want any wastage when it came to florals. For the evening, we reused a lot of the flowers and floral arrangements for the reception but swapped out some with dark florals to give a more regal, intimate feeling.»

«My favorite moment from my wedding is that our wedding was over 2 days. We had some traditional celebrations the day before the wedding. We called it the Welcome Brunch and Roce Celebration. There was live stations, ice cream cart, lawn games. During this brunch- there were a lot of choreographed dances done by family and friends and we also carried out the traditional Roce ceremony. The wedding ceremony involves friends and family putting coconut milk on the bridal couple. Since Noel is from a different Indian culture, we also used sandalwood paste to honour his culture as well. The coconut milk is from Marlene’s culture.»
