Following in my father’s multi-awarded footsteps among Old-Athens’ formidable clientelle, it was only natural for Hasselblad and film to become the extension of my very own, and very eager arm. I studied photography, and adored seizing the spirit, arresting the flight of a truth, a mood, a face, and all the minute details that tell a story. Keen on the sensitive intelligence that comes with design, I was ambitious like a bee aching to sop thousands of blooms at once.
And while some try to find the right height from which to observe the world, I knew it’s all about the right speed. The gaze that glides peacefully over beloved ones, the spectacle, the high-spirits, the purest of emotions, such as unalloyed joy … my kind of speed … wedding photography! I felt it’s something of deep significance because it resonates with who people are at a moment, but also how they wish to still be in the future.
Here I am, 25 years after that first escape to Venice that landed my first wedding gallery. Balancing the unskimping conversation between light and speed, melding the real and unapologetic with the curated and the soft, their true colors with creativity, I’m devoted to documenting the infinite possibilities of your journeys.
