Welcome to Thalasses Villas — a place shaped by the presence of water in all its moods. “Thalasses” means “seas” in Greek, and here, the sea is always in view, while your privacy remains carefully preserved.

Set along a quiet stretch of the Rethymno coastline, the estate sits directly by a private beach. There’s nothing around to interrupt the openness, just the horizon of Crete, the shifting light, and the steady rhythm of the Aegean. It’s a setting that feels complete on its own, which is exactly what many couples are drawn to.

The complex consists of five independent luxury villas, located just 50 meters from the beach. For weddings and events, the main villa, Pueblo, serves as the central gathering space. Many couples choose to reserve the entire estate, creating a shared environment where family and friends can stay close while still having their own space.

In total, Thalasses accommodates up to 18 guests across nine bedrooms and six bathrooms. The layout is designed to balance togetherness and privacy: the front villas, Thoi and Persi, are single-storey and open directly toward the sea, while Eeanthe and Melia, set slightly behind, are arranged over two levels with equally open views.

We host a range of events here, including destination weddings, private celebrations, corporate retreats, brand events, and wellness stays. The space also works naturally for smaller gatherings: private chef dinners, sunset evenings, and curated experiences with guests.

Ceremonies and receptions take place with uninterrupted sea views, and the calm surroundings allow even larger events – up to 300 guests -to feel considered and relaxed. Everything happens within close distance, creating a natural flow between staying, gathering, and celebrating.

The architecture follows a clean white-and-blue palette, familiar to the Greek landscape, while the overall experience feels closer to a private retreat than a traditional venue. We’re happy to collaborate with wedding planners or work directly with couples, always adapting to the needs of each event.
