Set against the sweeping views of Kefalonia, this couple’s rustic chic celebration unfolds with a sense of effortless warmth that feels perfectly in tune with the sun drenched Ionian scenery. Their proposal took place on their beloved Ithaca, the island where they had already created so many memories, and from that moment they knew their dream destination wedding would come to life in Kefalonia. SW Luxury Weddings crafted a day defined by its natural aesthetic and thoughtful details, featuring a white and green palette and stunning floral arrangements of roses, dahlias, gladiolus and lush greenery. A long wooden table in the courtyard of the stone countryside home, dressed with candles and white blooms set in vintage gold vessels, created the feeling that every guest was part of one shared family moment. «For the reception, we chose long wooden tables so everyone would feel close and connected» the bride told us. With Makis Klonis curating the music and setting the perfect tone for the evening, the couple radiates joy and we cannot wait to enjoy every happy moment captured through their photos.

«We first met at a party through a mutual friend, not long after I had returned to Poland from spending four years in Florida. At the time, he was in a relationship, so it was just a fun evening spent with friends, but I remember thinking to myself, “This is exactly the kind of man I’d love to meet in Poland.” Half a year later, we ran into each other again at another party. By then, he was single and from that moment on we started seeing each other. Our relationship grew naturally and beautifully over the years, and five years later he proposed to me on our beloved island of Ithaca, the place that already held so many special memories for us. A year later, we celebrated our dream wedding on Kefalonia.»

«My wedding dress was romantic, airy and comfortable, yet it made me feel like a true princess. With layers of delicate tulle and beautifully embroidered flowers, it had a soft, whimsical charm. Most of all, it made me feel wonderfully feminine and girlish, capturing exactly the mood I dreamed of.»

«For our wedding, we wanted the decoration to feel natural, elegant, and very much in harmony with the beautiful setting around us. That’s why we chose white flowers with lots of greenery for the arrangements and the bridal bouquet. The simplicity of the whites, combined with the lush, fresh greens, felt timeless and pure, and it also blended so beautifully with the stone walls of the villa and the endless blue of the sea. The style we went for was rustic Mediterranean elegance. We loved the idea of keeping everything warm, relaxed and authentic, while still feeling special. The terracotta pots with little olive trees were one of my favorite touches, they added so much charm and really tied the space to its surroundings.»

For the wedding ceremony, we kept the decoration simple and focused on a semi-circle of white flowers, which framed the view of the sea behind us. Standing there, with the flowers around us and the ocean stretching out in front, it felt magical like nature itself was part of the decoration. At the reception, we chose long wooden tables so everyone could feel close and connected.

«One of the best pieces of advice I can give future brides is to invest in a professional makeup look and especially if your wedding takes place in the summer months. Feeling comfortable and confident makes all the difference. Beyond that, try to be truly present and soak in every moment. Even if little things don’t go exactly to plan, don’t let them overshadow the joy of your day. Celebrate wholeheartedly with your guests, but also make sure to step away for a few quiet, intimate moments with your groom. Those will be the memories you cherish the most.»

«The string lights were definitely one of the details I loved most. As the sun set and the lights came on, the whole atmosphere shifted into something so warm and intimate. The poolside area with the lounge seating also created such a lovely corner for people to gather and relax. Looking back, my favorite decoration details were the flower installation at the ceremony, the string lights that transformed the evening, and the little Mediterranean trees that gave the whole space so much character. Everything came together exactly as we had hoped, elegant, relaxed and deeply connected to the place we were in.»
