Dimitris and Angeliki’s wedding in Chios unfolds like a romantic love story, with a romantic chic style woven beautifully into every moment of the day. From the church entrance, where a lovely white floral garland of roses, hydrangeas, baby’s breath, lisianthus and eucalyptus designed by Comme il faut set the tone, to the bride’s elegant bouquet of pure white calla lilies, everything felt effortlessly beautiful. The wedding decoration carried through to the reception with floral arrangements in the same palette, glowing candles, and soft blue accents resting on wooden tables. Angeliki shared with us that the greek wedding site Love4Weddings was a huge source of inspiration for her, helping her better define the style she envisioned for their wedding and organize her ideas, something that is clearly reflected in the final result. «When I entered the reception hall and saw the tables decorated with candles and flowers, I was truly moved, because it was exactly how I had imagined it, simple and elegant», the bride told us. «We met through a mutual friend, Giorgos, who later became our koumbaros. We were at a Greek Night at a club in Astoria, New York. I had known Giorgos for many years, while Dimitris was his business partner, and he also knew Giorgos’s wife, Despina, since they grew up with the same group of friends in Chios. Everything happened very naturally, and from the very first night we talked for hours and by the end we exchanged phone numbers. The proposal was done in a more traditional way. First, our parents met in Chios. When we returned to New York, Dimitris took me to a restaurant in Brooklyn for my name day, and that’s where he proposed. It was such a beautiful moment, as the restaurant was right by the sea, with a view of the two bridges surrounding us.»

The decorationof our wedding was elegant yet simple, exactly how I had dreamed it. I didn’t want many colors. I chose only white flowers with lush greenery, which brought freshness and simplicity to the space. For my bridal bouquet, I chose white calla lilies, a flower that is simple yet very refined, perfectly matching the style I wanted.
