«We met at work and were colleagues for several years before holding hands at a conference and discovering how much we both really liked the other. We got engaged by the river’s edge in the Amazon rainforest in Peru, after a walk into the forest with no-one else around. Daniel surprised Miriam with a diamond ring that he’d hidden in his pocket and hoped wouldn’t lose in the rainforest.»

We wanted the bridesmaids to pick any dress in any shade of green, the groomsmen to wear any light suit, and all the flower girls and Page boy to pick an outfit they loved. The mix of shades and textures that each individual brought to the wedding palate perfectly fitted our dream of everything being as natural as can be! For this reason, any colour we used absolutely popped against the green and white theme. Our wedding cake was a simple white iced one with fresh berries and fruits, all matched by pink petal confetti.»
«There were so many incredible moments that picking a favourite is almost impossible, surrounded by the love of so many family and friends. The first look of each other alone in The Courti Estate shortly before the ceremony was magical, as was our beautiful Syrian-Orthodox ceremony itself, in the shade of trees overlooking the sea. Perhaps the most special moment, however, was the two of us walking out to everyone just before dinner to the drumming of the Zeffa Band, which really got the party started!»
The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to make it special and true to yourselves and who you are. Those personal touches that we felt were unique to ‘Mema and Dan’ made all the difference. We wanted every guest to have the most memorable and fun weekend with us and for it to above all be a celebration of love and family.
