They say the best stories are the ones that take their time and Jodie and Andreas are proof of that. Friends since high school, their relationship slowly shifted into something more in their early thirties, shaped by years of shared memories. During the wedding planning stage, Jodie found herself looking through the Chic and Stylish Weddings website, using it as a guide to narrow down the endless possibilities and clarify her vision. Their summer wedding in Cyprus had a moody romantic style layered in deep reds, pinks and purples. The bridal bouquet stood out with burgundy calla lilies, rich dahlias, deep red gerbera daisies, scabiosa, ranunculus and garden roses, soft lavender lisianthus and eucalyptus with darker foliage woven through. The tables followed suit with low arrangements of gerbera daisies, spray roses, a single soft pink garden rose, burgundy chrysanthemums, scabiosa pods, dark leaves, and lighter greenery to balance the look, beautifully paired with glassware and thoughtful table settings alongside the refined flavors by Ermis Catering. “The wedding decoration theme was moody romantic, with opulent touches of gold and glass in a natural, leafy green forest like setting. The colour of the flowers were chosen to pop against the natural foliage of the surrounding trees. Deep reds, pinks and purples, nothing too large as the greenery at the venue was beautiful enough…” the bride shared with us, and every detail came together in a way that felt personal, intentional and deeply connected to their journey! See it all unfold in this beautiful article!

«We’ve been friends since high school and transition (romantically) in our early thirties. We’ve watched each other grow and seen the good and bad things along the way. Andreas proposed me on a secluded beach in Jamaica at sunrise. Despite I not being a morning person, it was a magical moment with warm sand, beautifully calm clear waters providing the perfect setting.»

I followed the site of Chic and Stylish Weddings, in the initial research stage. It helped me whittle down the never ending options.

«It was a chance to wear something that I felt glamorous and beautiful in. I had no expectations about what kind of wedding dress I’d wear and chose one that took my breath away.»

«The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to like what you like unapologetically. Don’t conform or shrink to fit anyone else’s options. Find a wedding planner that can bring your vision to life, trust them to do it and focus on making sure you have the best day ever. From the moment you wake up to the end of the day, chose the things and people who bring you joy to help you navigate the whole experience.»

The wedding reception was like having a banquet in the middle of the forest, with dim, romantic lighting provided my the fairy lights.»

«My favorite moment from my wedding is definitely the party aspect, we love to dance and so do our friends and family. They really showed for us.»
