Their wedding decoration featured white blooms, roses, orchids, baby’s breath and amaranthus, creating an effortlessly chic atmosphere. Among the images and heartfelt memories, the bride shares a thoughtful piece of advice: «If you are planning a destination wedding in Greece like I did, traveling from New York, trust your team completely and choose collaborators who understand emotion, not just aesthetics», and just like that, this story invites us to get lost in the images and experience their unforgettable day up close.

«Four weeks before the world shut down, fate quietly began to work. Michael and I met just before COVID changed everything, during an uncertain time that somehow made our connection feel even more certain. We chose February 15th 2020 for our first date, joking that Valentine’s Day carried too much pressure for a beginning. What we did not know then was that February 15th would become our date, the one that would run through every chapter of our love story. Two years later, on February 15th 2022, Michael asked me to celebrate our anniversary at Barique. I had no idea he was carrying a ring or a plan that would change our lives forever. As we stepped outside after dinner, he stopped, took my hand and knelt under the night sky. Hidden photographers captured the moment he asked me to be his wife, a proposal as thoughtful and intentional as the love we share. It was magical. Intimate. Completely us. Just a few steps away, our closest friends and family were waiting to surprise us with a celebration at Mary Carroll’s Bar, where love overflowed through laughter, tears and raised glasses. What began as a quiet anniversary turned into a night we will carry with us forever. Looking back, it is impossible to ignore how perfectly everything aligned, from the timing, to the place, to the people who brought us together. Our love found us exactly where we were meant to be.»

«For our wedding decoration, we chose a soft, romantic palette of baby’s breath and white Ecuadorian roses, complemented by white phalaenopsis orchids and flowing strands of amaranthus. I loved how the baby’s breath created an airy, almost cloud like softness, as if it were floating, while the roses added classic elegance and depth. The orchids brought a sense of refinement and grace and the gently cascading amaranthus added movement and emotion, framing the altar in the most organic way. What I loved most was that the flowers did not overpower the space. Instead, they elevated it, creating a feeling of calm, romance and sacredness, exactly how I wanted to feel as I walked toward the altar. My wedding dress, Vasso Noulin Ksenou by Dimitra Papalexi, tied everything together perfectly. The simplicity and elegance of the gown mirrored the floral design, making the entire ceremony feel cohesive, intentional and timeless.»

My favorite moment was that quiet instant at the altar, where nothing else existed but us… it felt like coming home.

«My wedding dress was a true act of love. The fabrics came from Italy, chosen for their softness, quality and timeless elegance, and the entire gown was hand sewn by Dimitra Papalexi with incredible attention to detail. What I loved most was how the dress felt both romantic and effortless. The delicate textures, the floral appliqués and the lightness of the fabric made it feel almost ethereal, as if it moved with me rather than wearing me. Every stitch felt intentional, and knowing it was handmade gave the dress a soul and meaning beyond its beauty. It was the kind of dress that did not just make me feel like a bride, it made me feel like myself.»

«My biggest piece of advice to any bride getting married today is to stay grounded in the reason you are doing this. Weddings can feel overwhelming, especially when you are planning from afar, but the most meaningful moments happen when you let go of perfection and allow yourself to be truly present. If you are planning a destination wedding in Greece like I did, traveling from New York, trust your team completely and choose collaborators who understand emotion, not just aesthetics.»

«Your day passes so quickly, and the people who document it become your eyes, your memory and your legacy. I would wholeheartedly recommend Le Fil Photography and Imagine Cinematography. They did not simply capture how everything looked, they captured how it felt. Our chemistry, the quiet glances, the laughter, the energy, every moment was preserved in a way that feels real, emotional and timeless. Above all, remember that the most beautiful weddings are not the most elaborate ones, they are the ones filled with intention, love and trust in the moment you are living.»
