Sophie and Michael chose to bring everyone together for a destination wedding on the gorgeous island of Serifos, a place known for its raw landscapes, gorgeous beaches and Cycladic spirit that feels untouched by time. Summer suited them perfectly, setting the tone for a celebration planned and designed by La Fete that was rooted in nature with natural, earthy tones and a bohemian approach guiding every detail. For their wedding decoration, they envisioned something simple yet refined, a celebration that balanced bohemian character and they were married on a beach that held deep meaning for them, where everything felt in sync with the surroundings. At the reception, long tables were styled with ceramic vases filled with olive branches, linen tablecloths and candlelight, while each guest received a small bottle of olive oil as a wedding favor, a nod to the island and to loved ones who traveled from all over the world to be there. Sound and lighting by Avac subtly supported the flow of the day as it moved from ceremony to celebration. It was a wedding shaped by place, personal history and a love for understated beauty, all set against the wild charm of Serifos that made the experience feel unforgettable from start to finish!

«We met through mutual friends. In fact, a friend of a friend mentioned me to Mike, even though we had only met once years before. He decided to reach out and we went out for dinner. We saw each other again the following week and from that moment on, everything happened very quickly. Two months later, he left London for me. Nine months after that, we were expecting our first child and on the day of our first anniversary, he proposed to me in Milan.»

«My wedding dress was pure serendipity. I discovered it by chance on instagram. It was exactly what I imagined. I contacted the designer, she sent me a showroom piece to my home and I ordered it with my measurements. I never visited a bridal boutique.»

«For our wedding decoration, we wanted something simple yet refined. A celebration that felt both elegant and bohemian. We got married on a beach that was meaningful to us, where everything felt in perfect harmony with the breathtaking nature around us, from the arch to the floral arrangements, and even the bridal bouquet.»

La Fete shared with us: «On the wild and poetic island of Serifos, where the land feels untouched and time seems to soften its pace, love found its perfect home. Hidden from the world, veiled in bamboo and lush greenery, lies Nature Eco Living, a rare and precious sanctuary where nature is not a backdrop—but a way of life. It was here, on the hotel’s private beach of Lia, that Michael and Sophie chose to begin their forever. As the sun slowly dipped into the Aegean Sea, painting the sky in warm shades of gold and blush, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest loved ones. The sea whispered, the light danced, and every word spoken felt timeless. The ceremony unfolded with simplicity and soul, honoring the raw beauty of the place. Heartfelt speeches from friends echoed with depth and emotion, words filled with memories, gratitude and profound love. There was laughter, there were tears, and there was a feeling that something truly meaningful was taking place. As twilight gave way to night, the celebration seamlessly transformed into an intimate, carefully curated dinner under the stars. Designed and brought to life by La Fête, every detail reflected a deep respect for nature and a light footprint on the land. Two family-style tables, local flavors, refined wines, and thoughtful textures came together in perfect harmony—effortless, elegant, and authentic. The evening was gently carried by the soulful voice of Artemis Matafia, flowing through the air like a soft embrace. Soon, shoes were forgotten, hearts were wide open, and dancing began barefoot on the sand, under a sky full of stars. Music, movement and joy carried the celebration deep into the early morning hours, until it felt as though only the couple and the sea remained. This was more than a wedding. It was a celebration of love in its purest form—deeply connected, consciously created, and profoundly respectful of nature. A reminder that beauty lies in simplicity, intention, and togetherness. At Nature Eco Living, Serifos, and through the vision and devotion of La Fête, Michael and Sophie’s wedding became a love story written by the elements themselves, one that will forever echo with light, love and the sound of the sea.»

«My favorite moment from my wedding was the ceremony on the beach!»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to relax.
