How much beauty and emotion can one summer wedding hold when it brings together two rich traditions? Rossella and Angelos celebrated their love in a radiant ceremony that honored their roots in the most romantic way, she Sicilian and he Greek. The wedding decoartion unfolded in soft shades of white with the olive tree taking center stage, symbolizing their shared journey, as delicate olive branches dressed the tables and mingled effortlessly with white peonies, orchids and roses to create a timeless Mediterranean setting. The bridal makeup was thoughtfully crafted by the talented Ioanna Barbouti, who enhanced the bride’s natural beauty with a look that felt refined, luminous and perfectly balanced. As the bride recalls, «The ceremony was deeply emotional, we both cried as a saxophonist played Ennio Morricone’s Love Theme, a song that represents our life since moving to London…» and we can only imagine the overwhelming feeling of that unforgettable moment. A wedding that blends Italian passion with a Greek heart, filled with white blooms, summer elegance, and the truest kind of love, and we cannot wait for you to experience it with us.

«We met in London, and he proposed me at the Shard, with the city skyline as the backdrop to one of the most special moments of our lives.»

«Our wedding decoration followed a green olive theme, symbolizing our roots, as I am Sicilian and my husband is Greek. Olive branches were used throughout the décor and table settings, paired with white peonies, white orchids, and white roses for a timeless Mediterranean feel. We celebrated at Villa Casa Serena in Plaka Litochoro, surrounded by olive trees, the perfect setting to unite Italian and Greek culture. Draped fabrics, candlelight, and fairy lights created a romantic atmosphere, while vintage details such as the Lambeth-style cake, lace wedding dress, and vintage car completed the aesthetic. All jewelry, including our wedding rings, was made in Italy, and I wore Jimmy Choo bridal shoes throughout the entire day. Later in the evening, I changed into a shorter second dress made in England.»

The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is to definitelty recommend hiring a wedding planner rather than an event planner. A wedding planner will save you an incredible amount of time and stress. Unlike event planners, who usually focus only on flowers, wedding favors, and decorations. A wedding planner supports you throughout the entire process. They help you choose every detail and most importantly, coordinate with all vendors. This level of organization and oversight is essential for a smooth and perfectly executed wedding, and it’s something event planners typically don’t provide.

«My wedding dress was purchased in Sicily from Blanco Atelier Catania and designed by Elisabetta Polignano, a renowned Italian bridal designer known for elegant, 100% Made in Italy gowns. I chose a dress made of Chantilly lace, which creates a soft, romantic, and vintage-inspired look. Authentic Chantilly lace is delicate and timeless, making it a beautiful investment that can be preserved and passed down as a cherished heirloom.»

«Our stationery featured a handmade watercolor illustration of Platamonas Castle and the church by a Sicilian artist, echoed in the seating chart, table numbers, and rice cones. As we entered the wedding venue, we opened the Prosecco and celebrated by spraying it while pouring the Aperol Spritz tower together, creating a joyful and unforgettable welcome moment. Guests also received wedding favors of homemade limoncello and tsipouro with the mati eye. The open bar, named Mayfair after our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and a mirror reading “Welcome to my Big Fat Greek Italian Wedding” added personal touches.»

«The bridal ceremony was deeply emotional, we both cried as a saxophonist played Ennio Morricone’s Love Theme, a song that represents our life since moving to London. It was an Orthodox ceremony with Italian prayers, making it truly personal. The celebration honored both traditions: we broke plates and danced traditional Greek dances, then shared a second dance with our parents, me with my father and my husband with his mother, following Italian tradition. The night ended with unforgettable moments, from the cake cutting and first dance to everyone jumping into the pool.»

«My favorite moment from my wedding was when we had the first look at the church and we both cried.»
