“He gave me a Christmas card that said we were going on a trip to Norway to spend New Years there. He had planned a romantic four day holiday, he proposed on New Years Eve under the fireworks when the year changed under pouring rain!! He did not go on his knee, and that is why it took me a while to understand what is happening…”
“We met on a night out through a mutual Greek friend. It was Easter and we were in Greek bouzoukia in London and he was dancing a Greek dance on stage a-la Russian style! Priceless…”
“Max chose to get married in Mykonos where and he had never been! He went early in the year to check the venues and he really liked it! We picked Mykonos as it is a beautiful island with gorgeous villas (where we wanted to hold the reception), has direct flights from/to London (convenient for our guests who were mostly from London), and is an island that we want to be visiting in the future for our anniversaries…”, the bride shared with us.
“No concept we really followed, there was no theme, we wanted it to be ‘less is more’ as the scenery by itself was breathtaking. I chose coral red for my bridesmaids as it goes better with my fiery Greek personality! I wanted this color to be present in all flower decoration and my bridal bouquet!”
“I could not find the perfect wedding dress as I live in London where the weather is a bit… different so the fabrics and styles were not what I was looking for. I wanted something light and flowy. I decided to make my own. Went to a bespoke dressmakers in London and explained exactly what I wanted to my designer. She understood me completely and the journey began. It was pretty stressful as I had not seen my dress finalized until August (wedding was 5th September!), but was exactly what I wanted. Romantic and sexy at the same time, with a beautiful solstice lace as bodice, loved it and so did my guests!”
“Arriving with my husband to the villa for the reception (after the ceremony), and being welcomed by all our dearest friends and family and receiving such a big wave of love from everyone, we will never forget that feeling!”
The bride’s advice: “I would advise any bride that even though she might think that this is never going to happen as it should, everything falls in its place on the day. She should make sure she enjoys the journey, but most importantly the day of the wedding, it goes so so quickly!”
