A boho chic wedding…. a one of a kind wedding at the Laas Estate during the summer season. Pictures of sunflowers, wheat, straw hats, joyful people… a Victoria Kyriakides wedding dress… However the most beautiful picture was the one of the very much in love couple, Ioanna and her Nikos.
Nikos proposed at Agios Lavrentios in Pelio and as the bride mentions: “Nikos had organized every little detail…he even brought champagne glasses from his mother’s house in case he couldn’t find any at the guest house we were staying. All the “crime tools” (champagne, glasses and a rose in a special bottle) were all hidden in his tool bag in the car”.
Ioanna continues: “The last morning before we left, we had breakfast in our room. Nikos left the room and returned with the “crime tools”, a small box and a card”.
The couple had a mutual bachelor party which was a two day trip with their friends a week before the wedding. Their friends were not informed about the destination. They received a video invitation explaining where to meet and what to bring with them for the two day adventure.
Ioanna chose an airy silk wedding dress from Victoria Kyriakides. A one of a kind dress with a free spirit style from the made to measure collection.
The bride’s vintage style dancing shoes were designed by Victoria Kyriakides and made in Milan.
The silk covered her shoulders in a delicate way, giving the feel of airy sleeves. At the wedding reception of her boho chic wedding, the silk was raised and gave her dress a different style.
The special corsage concluded with a wrap from handmade French lace that emphasized Ioanna’s slim waist. The back part of the stunning dress would flow impressively with every movement of the bride.
The wedding reception took place at the Church of Anastaseos and the wedding reception was held at a special location of the Laas Estate. The boho chic wedding decor was truly impressive. Ms. Stevi Adami from the Laas Estate took part in the wedding decoration procedures and she mentioned that she “adds stylish objects and work of arts depending on each bride’s sense of style”. The images of her decorative ideas are unique.
The bridal bouquet was inspired by the groom and it had a pleasant mixture of sunflowers and wheat. The sunflowers are a summer flower and the wheat reminds you of the harvest season.
The groom was undoubtedly handsome in the custom made suit by the designer Giorgos Papadogamvros.
No doubt…the bride arrived in style.
“The moment we glanced at each other was very intense” said the bride. Moments that sometimes could not be expressed in words.
The unique handmade bridal crown from French lace was the perfect bridal hair accessory from Victoria Kyriakides Headpiece Collection.
The colors of the day were the deep yellow from the sunflowers and green since the event took place on the gorgeous Laas Estate where the owners created a space that reflects their love for nature.
The Greek wedding dance that symbolizes the eternity of marriage. Just like a circle, marriage does not have a beginning and an end.
The most beautiful moment for the bride: “In general we enjoyed the entire day…especially after the ceremony when we relaxed and we spent time with our friends…The atmosphere between us was magical…”
Straw hats with sunflowers were used for the boho chic wedding table decoration and as the bride points out: “Nikos’ idea for the straw hats went hand in hand with the wedding theme; a summer wedding during harvest time where farmers would wear those type of hats”.
On the grounds of the Laas Estate one could discover exquisite decorative work of art that gave an air of a shabby-chic style.
The table with the wedding wish book was considered an artistic corner. Guests were impressed especially with the “The Acrobatic Couple” by Anna Andreadi and the red letters of the word LOVE by Chara Pallikari.
Exposed wood, stone, trees and water, all were tied together seamlessly, creating a finessed lounge atmosphere.
Aside from the desserts from the Dipnosofistirion Catering, the coupled requested after the dinner, tsipouro made in the village of the groom’s father and traditional pastries to be serves to all the guests.
One other impressive artistic touch in the pool area were “The Birds” by Alexander Fountoukli.
The bride’s advice to all the other couples planning their own wedding: “The bride should follow her instinct and not be influenced by other opinions…except the groom’s opinion. All people do not have the same taste and since a wedding has to do with something objective, each bride should do whatever expresses her personality”.
Close friends and family had a wonderful and memorable time celebrating with the couple.
The way they are looking at each other…reveals their love and devotion. A truly authentic moment of the couple, captured by their wedding photographer, Yiannis Alefantou. “Anything we might want to say about Alefantou’s work ….is definitely not enough”.
